Bob will be presenting a short overview of current professional imaging options and services. He will address how he has adjusted to the changing photographic landscape and where he sees the industry's future for Professional labs and photographers who's focus is on quality photography.
Bob has been printing shows for various local and international photographers for over 17 years. Prior to owning his own company he worked in various high-end labs that gave him the skills, experience, knowledge and exposure to start his own business and give that business a specific, Fine Art concentration.
He will then be showing a selection of images from various sources -- film, digital capture -- with comparisons from various output devices on various surfaces. Elevator, Bob's company, is one of a few Labs selected by Ilford, Harmon Technologies to use their new digital fibre paper. Elevator also produces work on canvus, watercolour, Ciba/Ilfochrome as well as the traditional silver based papers, using Lambda's, Inkjets and traditional projection.
The lecture is designed to help the photographer understand the advantages and differences between all of the many choices available to today's photographer, and to do so by showing work that has been produced to the highest standards, by skilled hands , using the best tools available.
