About Elevator Workshops

Elevator Workshops is the workshop and event division of an Elevator triumvirate. The other two divisions are Elevator Digital (elevatordigital.ca) professional photographic laboratory and studio and Elevator Design and Décor, Elevator's all-inclusive art consultation and production service.

Elevator Workshops is run by the Elevator partners Bob Carnie and Kevin Viner.

To round out the curriculum and to offer intellegent and thought provoking lectures and exhibitions Kevin and Bob employ the expertise of some of photography and digital imaging's most talented folks.

Most workshops are held at the Elevator facilities in Toronto; where just about every conceivable photographic capability is covered. Elevator has at its disposal, substantial gallery and studio space, high-end digital input and output, as well as an extremely broad range of traditional film and printing capabilities.

Elevator Workshop's mission is to provide educational events that leave the students with a full and comprehensive understanding of the given topic. To that end the workshop's scope is narrow, the instruction intense and very organized.

As a supplement to the workshops Elevator also sponsors lectures, exhibitions and jurried shows and other events that fit the educational ethos. Elevator's long history and experience and the equally long list of talented friends, associates and clients allows Elevator to offer unique and compelling photographic workshops, exhibitions, ompetitions and lectures throughout the year.
